Anna Nguyen
FASHION & EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHER · CREATIVE DIRECTOR
I’m Anna Nguyen, a Melbourne based fashion, editorial, branding and event photographer. Through Aureve Couture, I bring together my love of fashion, photography and storytelling to help women feel powerful, confident and seen.
My relationship with fashion began long before I picked up a professional camera. I grew up in a Vietnamese migrant family, surrounded by the craftsmanship of my parents’ home based clothing manufacturing business. I learned my first stitch at nine, developing an appreciation for garment construction, movement and the creative process.
After more than 27 years in banking and finance, I returned to my creative roots. My photography has taken me to Paris, Milan, New York, Cannes, Australia and New Zealand, including Paris Haute Couture and international fashion weeks. I have photographed runway and backstage for Issey Miyake, KidSuper, Rahul Mishra, Canali, Altea and Romance Was Born.
As a contributing photographer for Design Art Magazine, my editorial work has featured Australian and international fashion collections. I also studied creative direction at Vogue College of Fashion in London.
A Vietnamese woman raised in New Zealand and now based in Australia, and a mother of four, I bring my experience across cultures and careers to the stories I tell.
The heart of Aureve.
Aureve Couture is where fashion becomes art, and every gown becomes a love story. Through our 100 Dresses, 100 Women, 100 Stories initiative, we give gowns a new chapter and invite women to share stories of love, strength and transformation.
My vision reaches beyond the runway: to bring fashion, art and film together, empower women, and create opportunities for emerging designers, models and creatives.
